Born and raised in New York City, Cayla Bamberger covers education for The New York Post.

She previously worked for Hearst Connecticut Media Group, where her coverage ran in up to 20+ publications, and nonprofit newsroom The Hechinger Report.

Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Education WeekMindShift KQED and Paste Magazine, among others. She is also interested in books, music and film & TV; the media industry; food and restaurants; and transportation and city planning.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Emory University, with majors in English and Film & Media Studies, and her master’s degree from the Columbia University School of Journalism, where she covered New York City public schools.
